About RELAI

RELAI is building the infrastructure to make AI agents reliable in production. We help enterprises design, evaluate, and optimize AI agents, turning brittle prototypes into robust, scalable workflows that actually work in real-world environments.

We are hiring an exceptional AI Research Engineer to advance the frontier of agentic AI. This is a deeply technical role for someone who can move fluidly between research, experimentation, and practical product impact.

You will be a core contributor to the AI techniques behind RELAI's platform — a driver of original ideas that shape our product and research direction, and a bridge between frontier AI innovation and real-world deployment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and improve core AI methods, algorithms, and systems across the lifecycle of reliable AI agents.
  • Create novel approaches for simulation, evaluation, and optimization of agent behavior in real-world settings.
  • Turn ideas into working systems, prototypes, and production-facing capabilities.
  • Work closely with product and engineering teams to translate frontier AI innovation into practical customer value.
  • Help define RELAI's technical direction in agent reliability, evaluation, and optimization.

Requirements

  • Strong expertise in AI/ML research with a PhD in CS or a related field.
  • Experience working on AI agents or agent frameworks.
  • Strong programming ability, especially in Python.
  • The ability to turn ideas into experiments, systems, and usable outcomes.
  • The ability to work effectively across research, engineering, and product teams.
  • A strong sense of ownership and a desire to help shape core frontier AI capabilities.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with evaluation, simulation, planning, reasoning, or optimization systems.
  • Publications in top-tier conferences or contributions to widely used open-source projects.
  • Experience translating research ideas into production systems.
